Walk along the Thames

The south bank of the River Thames is fully pedestrianised and offers amazing views of the London skyline. A half-hour walk will take you from Borough Market all the way to the Southbank Centre and the London Eye, looking across to the Houses of Parliament at Westminster and the Big Ben clocktower.

St Paul’s Cathedral

After you’ve spent a morning at Borough Yards, head across the Millennium Bridge to find St Paul’s Cathedral. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and completed in 1710, the cathedral features the world’s largest brick-and-stone dome. St Paul’s is a must-visit location for anyone visiting London, with tours of the Whispering Gallery, the Crypt and the dome.

Tower of London

If you have the time, a visit to the Tower of London should not be missed. Found on the north side of the river, the Tower of London is a 12th century complex of fortified buildings, used as a prison, an execution site and a royal palace. It’s where you’ll find the Royal Armouries collection and the British monarchy’s Crown Jewels.

Tower Bridge

The instantly recognisable Tower Bridge has been seen in countless paintings, photographs and movies. Visitors can climb to the top for a view along the Thames, take a tour of the engine room and explore the exhibition.
